O Consórcio Interestadual de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Amazônia Legal (CAL) divulgou nesta semana o Sumário Executivo com os principais resultados da 29ª Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre Mudanças Climáticas (COP29), realizada em Baku, no Azerbaijão, entre os dias 11 e 22 de novembro de 2024. O documento foi elaborado em parceria com o Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia (IPAM).
O documento apresenta uma análise abrangente sobre os avanços e desafios enfrentados durante a COP29, incluindo os debates sobre financiamento climático, regulação do mercado internacional de carbono, transição energética e revisão das metas nacionais de mitigação (NDCs). O texto também aborda os legados das discussões para a COP30, destacando a necessidade de ações mais ambiciosas e coordenadas para o enfrentamento da crise climática.
